Ramesh Sippy joins the Hrithik bandwagon

Guess who's the latest to join the Hrithik Roshan bandwagon? None other than the director of the all time great Sholay - Ramesh Sippy. Sippy Says: "I had seen Hrithik before Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. And after watching the film, it only helped me to decide that he's the hero of my next film. I'm planning a romantic thriller. Hopefully it will work. I've a different subject in my mind because whenever I tried doing what others did, it did not work. I should be starting work sometime next January as right now, my son Rohan is neck deep into his first project Kuch Na Kaho starring Abhishek Bachchan." So what does Sippy think of Hrithik? "How can you explain a phenomenon?" is the director's simple reply.

Hrithik Roshan: all out!!

Poor Hrithik Roshan fans. They cheered him at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday, when he came out for the toss with Sachin Tendulkar. But anybody who hoped to see Bollywood's latest teen sensation were a trifle disappointed. For the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai star neither batted nor bowled, thanks to a fractured hand.
Instead he took a lap of honour across the stadium with Smita Thackeray, and then was spotted fielding at mid-on during the match. Jackie Shroff came in during the dinner break and went straight into the pavilion. But the man in news, Kapil Dev, who got all sob-soft on Hardtalk, was seen having some lighter moments with his teammates. Also spotted at the unique cricketers versus filmstars match were Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Arshad Warsi,Akshay Kumar, Shekhar Suman, Prabhudeva, Anil Kapoor, Asutosh Rana,Anupam Kher, Salil Ankola, Mahesh Manjrekar and Aditya Pancholi. Remo Fernandes, Sunita Rao, Tabu and Sapna Mukherjee were the performers for the evening.
